How to get through to Phuket's Mission Hospital

In November 2012 I asked why Mission hospital does not answer emails.

In January 2013 the following answer was given: “We have administrative officers to deal with hospital emails Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Officers check emails and forward them to the relevant department. Please tell us what department you would like to contact and what the subject of your email is and we will follow it up.”

Five days ago I sent an email asking for an appointment with a surgeon and I have had no response. Why not? What is the point of having an email address if no one bothers to check it?

“The process you describe is correct – administrative officers forward emails to the relevant departments. The email addresses [email protected] and [email protected] that are given on the hospital web pages still work

However, staff are often very busy and may not have time to respond to all emails.

The best way to make an appointment with a doctor is to call us during office hours. We can be reached at 076-237220-6.

You can also stop by the hospital to make an appointment in person.”
